MY DREAM CELTIC LINE-UP 2022/23 🍀 GK: Joe Hart 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Very solid ‘keeper and genuinely loves playing for Glasgow Celtic, what more can we ask for? LB: Alexandro Bernabei 🇦🇷 Celtic paid £3.75M to bring the Argentine prospect to Glasgow. He’s had limited game time so far but from what I’ve seen of him he will have us pace, energy and directness. CB: Carl Starfelt 🇸🇪 Had a shaky start to life at Celtic but as the season progressed he turned out to be a solid signing. Swedish international and he’ll improve yet. CB: Cameron Carter-Vickers 🇺🇸 Very good defender, quick, strong and fairly comfortable on the ball. £6M base fee with rumours of it rising to £10M. Would I have paid that? No. There’s better defenders out there for that money but he’s good enough. RB: Yan Couto 🇧🇷 With Josip Juranović heavily linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea and Atlético Madrid this window, it’s looking like Juranović will leave Celtic at some point in the next window or two. My dream replacement for him is Yan Couto who we were actually linked with before signing Juranović! A top young player owned by the City Group, hopefully our connections could get this one over the line in the event of Juranović leaving. DM: Equi Fernández 🇦🇷 A future star without question. Fernández is your typical South American player, fairly small in stature but bullish in the tackle, aggressive, yet is very comfortable on the ball and possesses a fantastic range of passing with a great football IQ. I would LOVE to see this man in the Hoops! CM: Evander 🇧🇷 A Rolls-Royce of a player. Immaculate first touch, phenomenal range of passing, set-piece taker and has an eye for goal. EVERYTHING you’d want in a midfielder! Funnily enough Rangers have been linked with him this morning at a price of £6.3M. He would be worth EVERY PENNY of that! CM: Matt O’Riley 🇩🇰 No introduction needed. ASTOUNDING football player. LW: Jota 🇵🇹 Best and most exciting player we’ve had at Celtic since Larsson. ST: David Datro Fofana 🇨🇮 The crown jewel of Norwegian football. Fofana is only 19 years of age but he has already made a stunning impact at Molde. He’s 6’0 tall with a stocky build, INCREDIBLY powerful yet comfortable taking a defender on and is deceptively quick as well. Not to mention he likes to score goals. Lots of them. Playing at Molde we could probably get this guy for £3-4M. This guy is gonna be a STAR in football in years to come and I just pray that Celtic recognise his talents now and we’re the ones to sign him. Let’s not kid ourselves, the last striker I begged us to sign from Molde hasn’t turned out too bad… RW: Renyer 🇧🇷 Santos just don’t stop producing top talent, do they? With Liel Abada linked with a move to Crystal Palace early in the summer window, we can probably expect to see him gone maybe next season. Renyer would be the ideal replacement! Skilful, pacey and he just has that ‘X-Factor’ about him, that little something special. The craziest part is that Santos are rumoured to be letting him go for only £2M! Benfica and Leeds have been credited with interest but at that price we should be all over him!

It’s now looking like the rumours are false - Celtic aren’t after him. I’m glad. He doesn’t start for Hajduk Split or North Macedonia, and at 22 years of age that isn’t a great sign, he’s not a teenage prospect anymore, he should be a first-team regular given the calibre of those two teams at his age if he’s going to be anything. I did think something was a bit off with this transfer...
