The best guess would be from 1969. I do not guarantee that the commercial was on television before October 1969; however, Janice Pennington maintained spunk in the commercial for Doritos. Food For Thought: Doritos In 1969 -- $1.19. Doritos In 2019 -- $3.89 and perhaps $4.49.
