Michael your attention to every detail is so phenomenal! You had every nuance covered, including the kitchen sink! Bro this was beyond incredible!!! It’s one thing to find the exact sounds and another to play them. I am so speechless!!!! I hope people really appreciate what you put in to create this top level performance. I was also digging the direct eye contact with camera!! So awesome!! The outro groove with the effects was insane!!! Drum sound was perfect! Effects perfect! Playing was perfection!!! Bro standing ovation from me!👏👏 Don’t understand why KZbin doesn’t notify me when you post. I always want to see when you post!! Love and respect for you brother and I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend!!👍✌️👊💪😁

Excellent job on this song! Your spot on rendition and attention to detail made it very enjoyable to listen to. The color changes in the video was a nice touch as well. Great job all around!

Thank you! I try to keep the song interesting and capture some of the notable fills while still putting my own spin on the song. The lighting and editing mainly keep me from getting bored with putting out the same style of cover again and again. Thanks for checking it out

Blown the f*ck away on this man. The mix, the editing...........that's all incredible but the attention to detail and precision in your playing is off the damn charts Mike. You can play your ass off but you can also dial in a sound that is so close to the actual track. SICK f'n cover.

Thanks Trey BBBBBB!!! Big respect coming from the metal drum god that you are. I still got a little ass left, just enough to plant it in my stool haha! I like the challenge of trying to match those huge 80’s and 90’s drum sounds. That’s one of the things I like best about e drums but I have to say the DW sounds you get are impossible to produce by a Roland module!

Man yet another rockin' cover but what am I to expect from someone who is as good as you dude. I always thoroughly enjoy all your covers I especially like this one for two reasons. 1) You kept switching between color and black and white which I thought was wickedly cool and 2) you played my favorite song off the Pump Album I remember that album well I believe it came out in 1991 if I'm not mistaken. You Rocked again dude!!!! Massive props
@mfournier014 жыл бұрын
Thanks for noticing the details Alex! Yeah it was actually recorded in 89’ and was on the charts for over a year! Lots of big songs and big drum sounds! So fun to jam to. I was originally going to do all B&W but while I was editing I thought it would be cool to let the color pop during the drum breaks. Always experimenting!

Good for you! It’s a fun song to play. Joey Kramer is pretty straight forward but rock solid in his timing and cool fills. Have fun with it. The rest of the album has some other great hits too!

Spot on brother...as usual. Great sounds and the percussion was a great addition. If you’re looking for a fat snare sound try something from early Skid Row or even Europe. Killer performance mate. Cheers Paul.
@mfournier014 жыл бұрын
Funny you should mention Skid Row because I originally built this kit to get close to the Skid Row sound and even named it that! Then recently I was listening to a Spotify mix and Love in an Elevator came on and I was like “Now that’s a big drum sound”! So I went into my studio and that skid kit was already up and I just started jamming along and there you have it! Haha!

Thanks much Zax. Been busy lately but hoping to put something up soon. Takes a lot longer to do covers with samples for me since I’m new to using them but I’m digging the sounds! Hope you have a great holiday my friend!

Awesome cover dude. Loving the sounds you are getting from that td30... I had forgotten how much percussion is in this track, as usual... you nailed it. Quick question, this is one of those track that I feel the guitar is super hard to follow in the lead break. Did you make your own drumless track for this tune... did you put a click to it... just curious. I know the guitar stays in time during the break but every time I tried to follow it I ended up out of synch with the band. Again, awesome awesome awesome cover 🍻😎🥁
@mfournier014 жыл бұрын
Thanks my friend! I actually don’t follow the guitar. Mainly focus on the bass and vocals to keep me in time. I also have a tendency to use my hat foot 🦶 to keep time during the breaks. It all kind of comes naturally and I try not to focus too hard or I’ll screw it up lol! I did make the track with Xtrax Stems. Been pretty much using this program for all of my covers lately. It works quite well :) Cheers
@SteveTheDrummer4 жыл бұрын
mfournier01 I keep time with my left foot as well though I think I’ve become more and more of a follower especially after using a click so much over the past few years... I’m not sure which I follow more bass or guitar, I guess it kind of depends on what is most prevalent in the mix though I have become surprised recently how much I use the vocals to set the cadence... again, great performance. There are so many things you do that make your videos special but I would definitely say playing the percussion parts really separates you from a lot of others...

Ok man, this is the last video using the Roland module. Time for some SD3 samples on the next one! Use what I taught you and lets hear em! Great playing as always and why you always touching your ears?! 😆

I told you so! What a pain 😂! Need to find better earpieces to hold those monsters in. I’m going to get the samples down soon. I have 3 or 4 songs I’ve already recorded that I still want to edit but the next true recording will be SD3. Don’t laugh if the mix sucks but at least I won’t hear a Tom Tom sound when I hit a cymbal thanks to you!
