True. Most children who are trapped in an abusive family often don't even realise that there may be a way out. They utlimatively realise it in retrospec when they managed to pull through. There are many places and organisations that can help, even completely anonymous. Just knowing that there is a way out is the first and most important step. Also knowing that it's not your fault. However most kids are too young to realise. So please keep your eyes open. Abuse may be happening just around the corner or in your own house. It's always a delicate balance between false accusation and neglect. Just don't turn your back if you witness something odd.

I don't know about looking younger as he ages. He definitely looks well and not embarrassing, like how some older guys can look when trying to appear younger. Small tweaks to clothing, hair, diet, exercise routines (even just walking a little more) can do wonders. He's done well to appear so youthful and seemingly healthy, after his earlier excesses! God bless.
