They really were one of the most underrated parts of the whole show. Janine was such an icon and I loved their entire relationship. I want more of them because they’re so funny and cute. And I think it really meant a lot (at least for me) when she said “I know what kind of man you are” because she wanted him to know she loved and accepted him for who he was, however he was, however he identified or thought of himself.

Never understood this Sherlock used her thing... I always felt that Janine was either in on the plan (at least to the degree that she knew there was a plan) or she was just having fun with Sherlock, trying to see what she could make him do and how far she could push. It was more of a collaboration or a game of chess -and she was clearly a willing partner. There is no way she thought of it as a real relationship. I mean she was putting up a show to John, pretending they are in physical relationship even though they aren't. One day before at the wedding she was saying I wish you weren't whatever you are to Sherlock and asking him to evaluate potential partners. She even said you will be useful. This is not someone who is entering a sincere relationship. Both Sherlock and Janine are clearly both aware what kind of person the other is and are making conscious decisions based on their personal gains.

No idea if it's only me, but I seriously was hoping Janine and Sherlock would dance together on the wedding night. I mean, she knew how much he loved dancing, how he never gets a chance to, she heard him say to her "we will be dancing in public tonight" and then she just found someone else and idk it was really heartbreaking to see Sherlock's smile fading off as he sees her pointing that way. :( It's obviously fine getting a partner (she was on the lookout the whole time anyway), but I think it would've been nice if she had just let him dance with her anyway! It felt cruel on her part to have seen his childlike excitement for the dance and then just letting him be alone in that crowd. That scene somehow just overshadows every other memory I have of her.
