kfishy If they know the historical background when where and why T composed this music . they will aware Janine Jansen is the right interpretation. Actually I show the Julia Fisher's version to my infant daughter, I listen to Janine's version by myself when daughter is not there

I can listen to this performance 5 or 6 times a day and not get tired of it. Tchaikovsky seems to have the "get under the skin" creativity that makes you hum and sing the music while you're driving with the radio off.

It's an amazing performance with such vigour (see the violin entry here), rarely played with such attack. This isn't just a youthful performance either - there's a lot of thought gone into this. Such a virtuosic and sensitive performance of surely one of the greatest of the romantic violin concertos. I must confess that Tchaikovsky would be my favourite composer.
