I love hiking! The first experience of hiking a mountain was indeed the most extraordinary moment, emotionally, mentally, and physically completely shaken. Especially high mountains. But that's also the moment you decide whether you like it or not. Whether there will be a second time or not depends on how you manage these things and fight more. I climbed Rinjani last year, took the longest and the most beautiful trail, the sembalun - torean track for 3 days and 2 night. The relaxing dip at the hotspring and the waterfall is really worth the effort. It has been on my bucket list for 10 years.

I live near the foot of Mount Rinjani, to climb Mount Rinjani alone you don't have to fear getting lost, just follow the path that has garbage, it must be the right path, but when you walk on a clean road without garbage it is sure that you are lost. The environmental awareness of Lombok islanders is very low, I am very fond of the mountain as beautiful as it can not be clean.

Hallo Jeanine. Wij, ik en mijn vriendin Ursula volgen je al een poosje. Zeker omdat wij ook regelmatig in Indonesië te vinden zijn . En Zeker op Lombok. De Rinjani staat nog op mijn bucketlist, maar ik zal er zeker ook voor moeten trainen. Te weinig conditie 😅 Ik kijk vaak naar Rinjani vanuit mijn luie stoel. En eens zal ik er aan moeten geloven. Wil je nog even nagenieten van een goede (voet) massage dan kan ik je Lombok spa garden in Tanjung van harte aanbevelen. En als je daar toch bent, loop dan even naar de buren. Daar vindt je ons huis. Helaas zijn we er er nu maar 1-2 maanden per jaar. Als we er niet zijn dan past Ayu op ons huis. Je bent altijd welkom! maak kennis met de echte lokale mensen in lombok en proef de lokale vis saté. (Sate Tanjung) Wel een beetje pedas. .... Groetjes van André en Ursula
