Thank you for this interview. We were there on December 15th, but we were missing one - a dear friend Lynda who was with us at every MT concert except the last one, because we lost her one month before. It made the last show even so much more final for us. We filled her seat, but we know she was there, with no tall person in front of her. It was an amazing arc for us all. Thank you for the music, MT. Thank you.

I thought only sycophantic fans made comments like the one I am about too, but I feel it is right for me to say, 'I adore you, Janis. I adore you for everything you have givien me through your music and for being part of a group that has brought endless joy. I wish I had met you but that's life. I did meet Tim and Cheryl and their kindness just blew me away. You are so gracious, humble, and phenomenally skilful and talented. For someone who prefers studio recording over touring you have given so much of yourself for the benefit of everyone before yourself. When you, Cheryl and the boys finally say goodbye I will be rather sad but I’ll remember I was blessed for having discovered and followed your musical journey throughout my entire adult life. There will never be a vocal quartet like The Manhattan Transfer. There never has been nor ever will because your group had something special that neither money, not even talent alone can provide - you guys had PERSONALITY plus and whether singing solo or harmonising together your individual personalities shone through. A unique set of characteristics that by incredible luck ended up together. When Tim sadly passed away, I thought that was the end but then along came Trist - twice you guys struck gold. All the very best to you Janis. I so hope you read my post so I can feel I got to say farewell to someone I have had huge admiration for. I would also like to give a shout out to Yaron - what a talented pianist, arranger and one super nice and incredibly modest fellow. And to Ed Keane all the very best my fellow namesake. Keep on swingin'

What an intelligent and talented lady. I was very sad to see MT come to end but they went out right on top. What a wonderful legacy they leave. So, Janis is coming to Europe ? I hope she will perform in the UK .

At least they knew when to leave. They were a great group, and they went out on top.
