This is the exact format of the gba game world championship 2006 and I've been building sick jank like ultimate insect ninjas and chaos burger turbo for ages now, not only can I look out for reaper lists to play on the game, I'd also love love love to play others with this card card pool and banlist

I've tried this format. Tbh it's a lot of fun, but isn't for those who don't like grindy games. It's crazy how Monarch started to be very good in the game all the way to Perfect Circle era, and almost all build all Monarchs all those years have Spirit Reaper in deck!

I never knew Dead Rat wasn't a commonly played deck as that was nearly the exact same deck I ran in 2006-2007 when I was a kid. I just didn't play Skill Drain (cause who wants to shut off their monster effects? LAME!) ,Des, Vamp Lord, and Wildheart and I didn't play Confiscate cause I didn't own one. Guess my young brain was ahead of it's time for Yu-Gi-Oh meta at the time. If memory serves me right I think I was running two Thestalos and 1 Mobius cause they were just generically good cards, 2 Creature Swap and 1 Soul Exchange as another means of dealing with my friends 1 of Soul Reaper.

Thoughts on the banlist choices: -Trinity to 0: good riddance -Mirror Force to 0: After playing goat format, I actually think mirror force was good for the game at the time. Make people think about over-committing more. Not a fan of the ban -Ring of destruction to 0: Hmm... Probably for the best. Though I didn't mind the mind games of playing around life point totals -Confiscation and Dark Hole to 1: terrible decision on both -Nobleman to 1: yeah I can see this card being annoying to deal with. Overall, I don't mind this banlist too much, I can see some people enjoying this more than goat.

Mirror force was changed for dark hole,so it was balanced somehow. Confi wasn't a perfect card and it wasn't ALWAYS in every deck.

I’m curious why Reaper format isn’t explored more than modern Goat is. Chaos Turbo pretty much reigns supreme in modern Goat these days abusing trinity which isn’t very interesting and this format actually has all the problematic cards banned minus Stein.
