Medvedev won their first 6 encounters, but Sinner won their last 4. Reminds me of Federer and Hewitt. Hewitt won most of their initial meetings and then later Federer dominated.

I don't feel that yet Federer so clearly outclassed Hewitt starting in 2004 in almost all parts of the game it wasn't even close right now Medvedev vs Sinner matches all feel like Sinner just slightly edged Medvedev hard to say what will happen in future matches yet

@@lotus630Yeah, all 4 of Sinner’s wins were very close including coming back from down 2 sets. Only the ATP Finals one was somewhat convincing but even that was 6-3 6-7 6-1. On the other hand Federer was pretty convincingly beating Hewitt to the point where you’d be delusional to favor Hewitt in any matchup. I’d also add that Sinner is on a hot streak right now which almost definitely won’t last. When he starts to cool off a bit I’m sure Medvedev will pick up a win or two.

Meddy's wins over Sinner happened when Sinner was still young and beginning in the pro. Now Sinner has become taller, stronger, and much smarter. Sinner would break many records for sure and will be the GOAT in the not so distant future.

I think this is the first ever grand slam final that did not include the Big 3 (Nadal, Federer, Djokovic) in years probably 19 years. we are seeing new faces in finals now. Good match though both players were boosted.
