Holy crap, that thing will chew up a lot bigger than what I thought and quick! Where did you find that little fella, I’m gonna look into one forsure! Would you recommend it?

yes it eats them things real quick. I found mine on facebook's marketplace about 30 miles from where I live. usually every time I check there I could never find one. one day this one happened to pop up while I was looking at an ancient chuck and duck that wouldn't feed. I was thinking about getting one of the Jansens but wasn't sure how well it would do. after trying out this one at the guys house I knew I had to get it. I ran the math and getting a chipper will save me approximately $800 vs. just stomping it all into the dump trailer on trees the size of this one if they are up near Findlay Ohio. This tree just so happened to be on top of my neighbors garage so there wasn't much travel time to get to this job. The savings on this one are a bit less than $800 because of that lack of travel. but it is so much easier to use a chipper like this and make everything fit into one load vs having to make 4-5 loads and get up and stomp on twigs and branches and all that non-sense. If you get a new one they are between $2-3k and can be found on Jansen's website. there's some polish guy on here that put up video's of his that he modified and put a 25hp Loncin motor on. granted you gotta tear it all apart and beef up the drum and shaft and all that. but that thing is pretty sick.

@@scrapmanindustries that’s awesome, I’ll have to look on marketplace around me. It’s such a huge time saver forsure not having to deal with the branches, they just take up way to much room.

Jansen seems to have the best auto feeds also.

@@scrapmanindustries yeap the one with the 25hp is very impressive I believe he also made the part where you feed the branches in wider

@@andrewwastien yes. I wasn't worried much about the hopper but after all the cracks on mine It might be worth building your own hopper. I have about 160 hours on mine and it cracked in at least 5 places. partly due to my lack of caring if it breaks or not.

23:36 you are good at choking it when its completely unessesary, is this yours or rented ? cause ur threating it like work/rent junk, sorry not gonna lie. but big sticks like that, u just do them slowly and its no need to frikkin Fly with the stick into the machine launching an attack like that honestly, you probably already knew u would either damage a blade or choke it when u do that so u know, can just not do that.

but I like the vid.

It is work junk. I own it but all it’s there to do is chew up wood. I fix it all myself too so it’s not a big deal when it does break. This is the first time I used something as small as this machine so I was still getting used to it while filming this video. I’ve had it a year now and it’s still working. Before this the only wood chippers I really got the experience of running hard were the Vermeer bc1000 and bc1500 diesel machines. Then I rented a Vermeer bc700 once. If you watch some of my first videos I was taking apart appliances with a splitting maul if that tells you a bit about my personality and how I treat my machines.

or just buy a new opening shaft, would help a lot with brushes that clogs up.
@unlimiteduploads297110 ай бұрын
mkay so my old comment gets deleted cause its so long or something. upgrading ur engine to a loncin 20bhp for 1k would been an amazing change here and widening the opening shaft. u can look at gld super or X28I on youtube they run 22bhp vanguard and honda gx690 they literally eat anything u throw in pretty quickly.

@@unlimiteduploads2971 nope I wasn’t disagreeing, your assessment is correct actually. I do beat on this thing. I’ve been wanting to put a Honda gx690 on it. I actually have one sitting right behind the camera when filming this video. But the disappointing thing about it is the Honda engine that I have isn’t mine. I’m building a vacuum skid for someone that’s gonna be powered by the gx690 and the customer supplied it. When I can afford my own it will probably have the gx690 at least. I do like the narrower chute though as it prevents me from tossing even bigger stuff into it. Eventually I’ll have to rebuild the chute though. If you watch my newer videos about it my chutes getting pretty bad. Mostly cause the bigger stuff I toss in bounces around in the chute. There’s a polish guy on here that put a bigger Loncin on his too. I believe his screen name is mroki26
