The shape of the clouds look as though they are moving in the sky! The way you captured the movement of the waves is so realistic looking as they build upon each other! Also, the water hitting up against the rock adds interest even though just a small part of your pretty painting. Thank you, for sharing David.

I need to make dinner, so I will have to watch this later. But I wanted to say that the thing I really appreciate about you and your paintings is that you show that acrylics is a acceptable and worthy medium for painting florals, animals and landscapes. So often people have come to our home to pick up an acrylic painting that they bought from me, and they're surprised that I don't paint abstract, because they think that's the only thing acrylic artists paint! So, thanks for the affirmation and encouragement for us acrylic artists! We paint the same things as oil painters do, we just have to know where we're going beforehand, because it dries so quickly. Especially f you're going to do blending. The nice thing about acrylics is, it dries quickly, so that if you need to paint over anything, to change it, you absolutely can, almost immediately. I love acrylics! :)

With the modern acrylics you can slow them down to 5 or 6 hours drying time. Much better than older style acrylics.

I need help! No, not that kind...I have just started taking up acrylic painting and purchased a set of primaries and also some blending mediums. I purchased one that states it thins paint, increases the gloss, and also slows down the drying time. If it thins the paint how can it slows the drying time? Also, the other one just indicates that it's a matte. The gloss looks as if it is "slippery" like a gel and the matte looks more dense. Am I right in thinking that the gloss is like the extender and the matte is supposed too be the open medium? I know you can't answer because you haven't tried them, however I was just wanting an opinion? BTW, I love how the clouds sort of rise up from off the horizon. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
