I appreciate that! JoSonja will be a little thin to do this type of painting. They are better for strokework. It is best to use thicker acrylics for these techniques.

The Mattise gel medium is great too. I love Mattise. Am in Australia so will get yours one day, look fabulously pigmented. Hope you and the family are well.

Hey David! Would you consider showing us some of your older or beginning paintings (if you kept any of them)? I have noticed another artist's improvement when looking at some of her older work. Many of us think that artists are 'born' talented and we think that we were simply just not born with any talent. When many of us begin painting we have sort of a self-defeating mind-set and want to give up because we don't understand that we can 'get there' if we paint and paint and paint! It would be a great inspiration to see how some of your work has become more beautiful and alive with your consistent daily painting.

Hello i love your roses , how medium you use please for prepare your canvas before painting. Can we use gesso or you have a recommandation of medium that you use in your canvas. I am beginner.

I just use the Heritage Paint because it can be used as a base. I don't ever use gesso in my paintings. Many artists do though.

Hello Dave. Ive been watching and I have to say I can ‘copy’ artists to learn, as I am still in my first yr of learning, and I have tried your flowers step by step and its not happening. Im not frustrated but I want to get it. I love Paul de Longre, which I have mentioned before and your flowers so resemble his work. I wont give up but there is something Im not getting.
