I’m going to repeat this over and over until I get it. Thank you for the lesson.

Hi David! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this instruction with us! I have my value scales -- which I downloaded from your "Jansen Art" website -- and I totally rely on them when I'm painting. I still have a way to go before I can "see" the tones as well as I would like to, but I can tell this video will be instrumental in helping me to get better at it. I've saved it and will probably watch it dozens of times. Have a great day -- and thanks for making mine quite lovely! JV

I haven't been able to buy the heritage paints but I did my first rose painting in acrylics today. I applied many techniques you teach & it has been a game changer. I'd love to show you sometime but I know you're a busy man...just want to thank you

David, thanks for the tutorials, your roses are beautiful! What is the hiding power of your acrylic paints?

I use what is called "super MDF" which is a fantastic surface for painting. I used the 1/8 thickness. You just make sure you paint or seal both surfaces when finished. Here I buy a 4 X 8 sheet of it at my local home store and cut it down to size. I get about 28 panels for about $20. You can also buy Richeson hardboard panels from Dick Blick or use double tempered masonite hardboard which you can buy at the home depot. All work well. Just make sure you paint all sides.
