!8/19 when they join, 19/20 when they do this sort of thing, but still. Takes a hell of alot of practise and dedication. I was in the HMKG (Kings Royal Guard, and saw them in action quite often). Theres about 30 ppl selected for the drill division, the remaining 400+ Royal Guards act as guards at the Royal castle and estates, or do normal military drills. My impression of the drill division, were that they were mostly nutcases to be honest. But I was/am also very proud of them.

Its basicly FSK, Forsvarets Spesialkommando | Special defence command. Hardest there is, which by the fact has put navy seals to shame. But with instruments and ALOT of teamwork. Amazing job by the boys!

@@humaNNNbeast Not sure about putting US Navy Seals to shame. They both have unique talents focused on needs. I mean you put a seal in cold environment with jagged mountains vs Norway in a hot desert and deep sea environment, and you get the picture sir.

It is so beautiful when this things are done in a democracy like in the Kingdom of Norway.When it is done in China or north Korea you can feel the lack of pride and love. Anyway dudes! I'm from Portugal , thank you to King Harald and the Norwegian fishermen to make sure that there will always be bacalhau on a Portuguese table. You are not only great fishermen/women you are also great soldiers. Keep fishing or we will starve to death. This young men do a wonderful job .

National Service needs to be re instated in the UK! The Norwegians are a fine & perfect example of training & discipline within the armed forces. The precision is second to none with these young conscripts. I never tire of watching them and I’m privileged to witness their perfect routines. ❤️ 🇬🇧 🇳🇴

I am from Hong Kong. Could you tell me what National Service is? Does it mean the armed force?
@Ama-hi5kn10 ай бұрын
@@man-kitli1572 Yes. In Norway you are required to serve at least 12 months in the armed forces. If you are a pacifist or are unable to serve otherwise then you can ask for dispensation. But normally every able bodied person between the age of 19 to 44 years old you must carry it out. What branch of the military you serve in is up to you. I was assigned a post in military intelligence. Most of my service consisted in just sitting around playing with computers, lol. (after some basic training of course, learning how to use weapons and other things). But it was an experience well spent and I met a lot of nice people.

In Norway, both men and women have an equal obligation to serve in the armed forces. Everyone is called up, but not all have the necessary qualifications to serve. Indeed more want to serve than the ones taken for service. The conscripts serve for 12 months. Norway has also developed a unique seals team training course for women, acknowledging that women in some areas do have advantages over men and that their service in specialized military units is needed. Armies discovered this in places like Afghanistan where it was impossible for male soldiers to gather intelligence by communicating with local women. Female soldiers don’t have this barrier, and were essential in such intelligence gathering.
