As was I Chris... 24 years of age, and man, did I have a great time... before, during and after the game! How I miss Municipal Stadium and those old Browns!

There is so much passion for football in these two cities, the bills went on to 4 Super Bowls I believe and the Browns to 4 afc championships. These city's are filled with pride. There loyal fans ,and drive to win a championship is overwhelming . I have been to many stadiums and many cities , but these two are filled with electricity and a passion I just can't explained. Truely a wonderful experience.

@jeremykrause46655 жыл бұрын
daniel james yes he would be like, so it’s clay Matthews saving the day with an interception of Jim Kelly. Bernie Kosar with an efficient day and its on to Denver for the third matchup between those two teams in the last four years.

Great upload of the original Browns last great playoff moment. Special thanks to the late Charlie Jones & Merlin Olsen for turning off their mikes & letting 80,000 fanatics tell the story.

Jason Richards This is how announcing was done back in the day. Shut your mouth and let the atmosphere do the talking. Good job outta them to let the emotion of the players and fans take center stage.

What some broadcasters don't understand is pictures SOMETIMES tell a story in a way that a viewer's age, location, culture, etc. impacts interpretation of the story So, one million people might see a picture one million ways Those are times broadcasters need to clam up; their opinion is just one of millions & probably benefits nobody.

Strange game: the team on the decline won and the one on the rise lost. It was the last hurrah of the "oh-so-close" 1985-1989 Browns who played in three AFC Championship games, but lost all three to the Broncos including the week following this game. The next season they'd fall to 3-13 and still haven't returned to the NFL's elite ranks. In contrast, the Bills would go on to win four AFC Championship games in a row starting the next season.

Even in this game it was a forerunner to the future. The Browns had prepared for this game by using many defenses, whereas a few years earlier they would prepare for teams with 2 or 3 defenses. Back in '88-90, the 3 and 4-WR sets we know today were rare and nobody knew how to stop the no-huddle offense. We lucked out this game. GREAT post mkeogh.

wowwww...the end of an era in Cleveland, ( although they would go on to the AFC Championship game for the third time in 4 years, they would never appear in another one after yet another loss to the Broncos)....the beginning of a new era in Buffalo (would appear in 4 straight Super Bowls after this loss)

Browns fan here since I was born, born and raised in Cleveland, 37 years old..... watching this as the Browns today have another disappointing season end with a few head cases, one at quarterback. I remember this game vividly. Back then, the Browns players understood Cleveland. They got Cleveland. They were a part of us, and we were a part of them. Today's Browns just don't get it.

It's been 17 years now & finally time to settle this very important issue! To President Donald J. Trump: so how did you R-E-A-L-L-Y come to be (@4:11) in Art Model's OwnersBox back in Jan 1990 & what were you doing there that day?
@patcorroo28647 жыл бұрын
Actually 27 years... what the h### was a NY guy doing in Cleveland in January?
@MrSpyderjack7 жыл бұрын
HaHa, PatCorroo - you got me there, Thanks for the correction! By beating Buffalo, Cleveland advanced to the AFC Champ gm @Denver to be played the following Sun, but the media played up the hype of "What was Donald Trump doing in Art Model's box?" during the week leading up to the title gm. Model ended up denying that Trump had been "his guest", claiming that Trump was instead actually in one of the adjacent 'luxury boxes' as a guest of someone else and he just happened to wander over to his (Model's) box to offer congratulations. So I wonder what.....???..... President Trump's take on that is/was.
@RichCMoney5 жыл бұрын
Art Modell, Al Lerner and Donald Trump in the same luxury box. Now...Donald Trump was at numerous Browns games back in the late 80's. Big money runs with big money.
