My name is actually January Love because my parents fell for January love. 9 months later, here I am. I cry hearing this song. My mother and father were married January 31st, 1981. I lost my father in 2015 to cancer, and my mother is currently battling cancer.

Wow that was beautiful!!! Tonight I found the blackbird video about you and I watched that and then couldn't resist finding some more videos, including your American Idol audition. Your truly amazing and inspirational, and I'm so happy you get to enjoy the music that you love as you have a true talent. I could listen to you for hours on end! Thanks for all that you share with us, your music really touched me and I hope I can find more of it to enjoy. I have health problems myself, nothing like you though. I've been completely bedbound for over 10 years due to a long term health condition and I'm severely ill. I'm not able to do much myself but I make the most of what I can do, and for me my passion and love is being creative and my main craft right now is crochet. I couldn't imagine life without it as it gets me through each day and certainly helps me on the bad days. I do my very best to keep a positive attitude and I still have hope that one day I will be able to get out of this bed...even if it's being able to be transferred into a wheelchair I'll be so grateful for that and it's currently what I'm trying to work towards. I don't know if I'll be able too but I'll never give up trying and watching your story has shown me to keep trying and to never give up hope as you never know what will happen. Anyway I've rambled on long enough but I just wanted to say thank you. I am aware this video is several years old and I hope your doing well several years on and your being able to continue doing what you love and making the best out of life :-). While I am extremely late to the party, this song somehow describes my situation perfectly. In December of 2019 my high school boyfriend of over two years unexpectedly broke up with me. I was devastated and didn’t want to date anyone to allow myself to heal and learn how to flirt and date again. But, then he rolled around and somehow was able to put a smile on my face when no one else could. I tried fighting with being with him, but when I saw him again I knew that I had already fallen for him. A crazy year later, he proposed to me in January. Thank you for creating this song that oddly matches my life pretty well.
