Love watching you set up your book spreads! I just realized I have the bear and the nightingale on my tbr, so I’m very excited! I remember feeling the same as you about A Darker Shade of Magic. I don’t really remember anything aside from the different Londons lol but because I loved Addie LaRue (which I highly recommend!), I might give A Gathering of Shadows a chance 🙈

I read "Gallant" (in french on Audible) and I really like it. I also read the trilogy of Katherine Arden. Three of my favorite books 💜📚💜. I really love your reading journal. Beautiful work ! ❤

Aha, ça m'intéresse! Est-ce que c'est plus consistant Gallant? Je suis impatiente de lire le 3è de la trilogie de K Arden, j'ai l'impression que les 3 sont aussi bien!

I think Addie LaRue is closer to the feel of The Bear and the Nightingale (which is my all time favorite triology), not is the same story, but in the historical fantasy side. It's the only VE Schwab book I really enjoyed, as I didn't care for the others I read. But Addie LaRue is in my top 10 favorites. It does have a slow start, but I think it's very much intended to feel like that because of how the character is developed. It's one I appreciated greatly after I finished it. I would have recommended it over Dark Shades.

Alors moi j’ai assez aimé la trilogie « darker shades” et je l’avais achetée car j’avais bien aimé Addie Larue. Mais c’est vrai je reconnais que des fois le dénouement est un peu prédictible et y’a des plot holes un peu meh lol. J’ai aussi acheté les 3 livres « nightingale” mais pas encore lu, j’ai trop de trucs sur ma liste avant ça 🤣 le spread est trop beau avec les dentelles 😍😍

Je ne sais pas si c'est pas aussi un peu une question d'âge peut-être, maintenant que j'y pense peut-être que je me sens vieille en lisant ça en fait! Fais remonter la trilogie Winternight sur ta liste, ça vaut le coup! J'ai trop hâte de lire le 3è mais après je serai triste que ce soit fini...

@@bujobyfilo oui c’est possible, mais aussi peut-être que c’est pas trop ton truc ce genre d’histoire? J’ai remarqué que tu ne lis pas beaucoup de fantasy donc peut-être ça passe moins bien pour toi? Ah sinon un livre que j’ai beaucoup aimé récemment c’est « Lady Tan’s circle of women » c’est historical fiction ça se passe dans la Chine ancienne c’était super bien je recommande !
