I agree that middle grade books just make me happy! They are so light and wonderful. I’m tearing through the Septimus Heap series now and I’m loving it. Wow you read a lot of pages there! Congrats! 🎉

I have gotten into Middle grade occasionally to give my brain a break from heavier adult books.

Loved hearing your plans for the around the world readathon. I have no idea yet what I will read for Egypt as I don’t own any set there. Happy reading! 😊📚🌎

Your January reading this year is similar to mine last year! I read 19 or 20 books in January last year, this year I only managed four and a half!😅 the last one was a read aloud to my siblings that I had started in October!🤭 Hopefully January will be fuller but I am content with my progress since many of those were slower due to the wealth of information.

Spacepaws is so ridiculous and fun to read! And actually, The Godfather is a whole series of books, lol. Usually not my type of book, but maybe I'll love it! Thank you!

Glad to hear you enjoyed Count of Monte Cristo! 🥳 I listened to Godfather on audio several years ago and did enjoy it... weirdly, I never read or watch thrillers, murder stories etc but Godfather with Al Pacino....EVERYTIME I am ill I watch it as comfort movie 😂😂 don´t ask me why 😂

Ha, I'm sad to say that I've never watched the Godfather movie (just parts), but now that I'm reading the book, I need to sit down and watch the movie all the way through.

Perhaps make the Thomas Merton one span through March. It sounds great for Lent.

Oh no! Ayn Rand! Hahah That is a name I learned early on not to bring up in philosophical circles. However, I do enjoy reading things I know I am going to disagree with, and despite my distance from objectivism, there are some memorable quotes in Atlas Shrugged, if I am forced to say something positive 😂
@AnneEWilliamson2 жыл бұрын
Yeah...I'm currently reading The Fountainhead (almost 1/4 of the way done) and I have mixed feelings about it. I love the story actually, but some of the philosophy is just weird, lol.
@attention56382 жыл бұрын
@@AnneEWilliamson Yes! I was actually going to say, I didn't mind the story in either Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged, despite the fact that I found the characters somewhat flat. But her philosophy is not one I subscribe to, to say the least haha
