I so appreciate your wonderful videos. You inspire me to declutter & organize. For over 60 years I have acquired Christmas decorations &&& needless to say I have much to much for my small apartment. Sooo I am bestowing to my family, friends & donations are receiving MOST the collection. I am so grateful for the opportunity to minimize my belongs as well as the minimalist movement for introducing me to downsizing. Not that I'm a minimalist, but I am minimizing, little by little, bit by bit. Thank you for your inspiring vieos & wise words. 🙏😊

I love organizing. Especially the kitchen. Have you ever thought to put all your plates, bowls, cups and mugs in one of the food drawers? Bringing the food up to the cupboards might help you see what you have better and stop the piling of randomness on top of another. Also, thanks for the motivation! I have a chronic pain issue and it helps watching someone who gets it.

Just a tip for next year... wrap the tree 🌲 in a huge sheet or blanket before moving it outside. You could even take the lights off outdoors. Less mess with needles contained inside the sheet.

yes use up what i have and no spend, when i ask myself have i enough and the answer is yes then some how i feel content not deprived, this helped me loads when it came to stop buying faddy things. all the best for the coming year.

For your butter beans: Olive oil Garlic Red Onion Any spices you like (garlic granules, cumin, smoked paprika - whatever you like + have!) (optional) A dash of syrup or sprinkle of sugar if chopped tomatoes are too tart for you Salt + pepper 1 tin butter beans 1 tin chopped tomatoes Rice Brown onion + garlic in the oil with spices then add chopped toms and butter beans cook for 15-20 mins. Serve on top of rice! Super quick, cheap and healthy meal the bean mixture freezes well and its a good one to meal prep for lunches you can mix it up by serving with potatoes instead, of rice, adding hummus or avo if you have them in or adding in additional beans to the mix! x

I still have all my beautiful Christmas decorations, because we actually also celebrate january 6 as the Three Kings day! Its tradition to keep everything up at least until Jan 6 here in Portugal 🎄 Maybe you should give a "fake tree" a go Next Year! I swear its less messy and also less expensive, and though the smell isnt the same at least you keep it for so many years! Really wanted to show you how beautiful mine is this year (and i have two cats!!)

All decorations went down on Boxing Day! House decluttered and stuff taken to charity shop,still got more tidying to do,but back to work tomorrow to earn some money and clean other peoples houses as that’s more enjoyable and job satisfaction at its best.🤩

My cat (RIP) used to love it when I used to get a big online food shop. It's funny how cats like to ferret through bags. My Christmas decorations came down a few days ago but I have kept out my wreath and festive cushions. Happy New Year.

Tin of chopped tomatoes; tin of butter beans, one finely chopped onion and a finely chopped garlic clove and a big bunch of chopped mint all cooked together and served on a bed of rice. It's delicious and so quick to make. Thank you for your lovely video. So inspiring. ❤️

Really enjoyed ! I know its everyday stuff but that's life isn't it Kay & Dom - its the reality of it all - thank you for being honest & natural. Pets do get in the way & mess about especially when you are having a tidy up - but you have to laugh at them don't you. Love the fact you are looking at your kitchen & food & trying to cut down - I am doing the same - aiming to reduce outgoings where I can. I want to eat more Veggie & be more organised with weekly shop. (I have that Veggie Book - its very good by the River Cottage bloke). Its so true re when we look in our cupboards we all do it - over spend - looking forward to see how you budget along the way (but we are all different & have different needs). Food prices go up literally every week - I just want to save as much as poss & reduce what I buy too - so what you are doing is current & effects us all at the mo. Yes - when Xmas Decor comes down it always looks so bare doesn't it ? - but I like that tidy organised look - Order -I don't like clutter - (I think it makes you feel better too) if you have space around you - it helps raise your spirits too I think & good for the mind - I always try & tidy up generally as I go 'cos we all have things to do/get stuff out during the day - especially if you work from home too (or/& have children etc). Re. the dreaded pine needles - At least you & Dom have the lovely Floorboards & not all carpets - it is a nightmare to clean - I do agree - You have both learnt ya cuppas' ! Haha! Shepherdess pie .. lentil tomatoes beans all added into the pot top with the smash and bake, cheap filling healthy and yummy. Uses up some bits and will freeze also so great for batch cooking.

Happy new year, Kay! A great dish for using up canned tomatoes is cabbage soup. I make it with onions, carrots, bell peppers, and lots of ginger and garlic - it's great for using up all those no-longer-appealing veggies that tend to collect in the fridge drawer. Plus it's very comforting winter food and should go well with your diet goals :)

Drained the butter beans , mash with the taco mix and corn a egg and crumb . Make into Pattie’s and put into taco wraps x

I put my Christmas decorations down on New Year's. It has been my costume since I was a child. I do not bother with a tree. I have a Christmas village I put out every year My cat liked climbing the tree.

If you're looking for something to do with the cannellini beans and passata then you could make your own baked beans. I don't like tins of baked beans so I make my own using them and just cook it on the hob with some herbs and salt and pepper. I also love all your food haul/organisation videos!

Love this, my room and bookshelf need a deep clean and reorganise as I get pretty lazy with my room, so that's gonna be my today task. as I also have some storage shelves that I want to see if I can re-organise enough to get rid of, we shall see as most things that are on there are books and half of what is on my bookshelf is paperwork lol. So organising and decluttering day for me today :) :) Those were a lot of pine needles, hopefully there are no strays, but that is cool that your council recycles the tree's.

I know you can't get everything in aldi so I do my weekly shop in there and once a month or two I go to another food store and buy a stock of things I need for recipes. I have saved £20 a week changing to aldi for general food and can even get stuff I couldn't afford to get like steak, before xx their food is also very good quality

(Well, not in the foreseeable future because I'm having a hip replacement in 2 weeks (at the grand old age of 45 😫) and I'm so crippled with osteoarthritis in my hips I can do very little right now! But you've given me so much inspiration for when I've recovered and can actually start to get my life back a bit!) Now it's the next day after the Epiphany so I'm going to remove the Christmas decorations this afternoon. Our beloved (fake but beautiful) Tree 🌲💝 has been ours for almost 4 decades now, great vintage quality that hardly sheds any needles :) He's like an old faraway family member, we are so happy to see him again every December! I say him because I'm French and our word for tree is masculine: un arbre. 😊 I think it's also very ecological because it is literally lasting a lifetime, so we don't have the heartbreak to see a real life tree slowly die in our home then be kicked out...
