Singapore has by far the world’s best first class seat. And, no seat on any airline is worth paying $30K for unless you’re going to the moon!

Check Singapore again with the rotating chair and bigger space. Pass on JAL. Plus I'm a Star Alliance Diamond Card so travel on Singapore, ANA, Turkish, EVA and Asiana.@@clearedfortravel

Actually that is the price they were charging at the time of the inaugural flight which is when I booked my video. Prices have dropped a bit since that time.

I believe it was about 30k rt when they first introduced it on the first plane and when I made this video. Haven’t kept track of pricing since.

Haha. Yeah the amenities could be better. This flight was coming from JFK but I hear that coming from HND food is better since they have more control over the catering.

Nice video spoilt by awful music. Would be better just to have the natural sounds without the constant loud music, or at least just have both and have the music very much low key so can just be heard. Maybe watch other reviewers who both speak and don't speak.

Wait 30K. What ? Hard product look awesome but the amenity kits look awful. The First one look like a premium economy one and the second one from shiseido is actually a gift with purchase size and the rest is not up par for First Class But the seat look awesome. Just not sure about the headrests speakers gimmick Nice video !

Yeah the headrest speakers were a gimmick… they don’t cancel noise from the engines and the sound disappears as soon as you lean forward. I guess they were looking for something innovative but this was a solution in search of a problem.

Yeah it’s hard to imagine any flight being worth $30K. But this was a great deal with 70K Alaska miles. That’s a value of 43 cents of value per mile when most flight redemptions are about 1-2 cents per mile. Unfortunately Alaska seems to have lost availability to book JAL first in recent months but it’s still possible to book with JAL miles.
