My heart goes out to Ate Gie, so hard to suffer the loss of a husband while living in Japan. I hope she has enough money to manage. Paying for a funeral is very expensive and so hard when you are grieving. I am glad she has all you girls for friends. Bananas should get fruit in Japan. Aloha Angela. I was saddened to hear of Ate Gie husbands passing and more recently Ivy's dad in the Philippines. It is so sad especially with Ivy so far away from her family. Bahay kubo our dad taught us that song as small kids. We used to sing as one of the only Filipino songs we knew. It wasn't until we grew up that we figured out it was a song about Filipino vegetables. If you like a change in flavor next time you fry your salmon filet sprinkle some sugar and shoyu on it. It will make a nice glaze and be tasty with rice, but the pan will be hard to clean. hee hee. Well I will finally have my surgery on my bday Sept 10 tuesday it will be already wednesday for you. Please send good thoughts and spirits my way. I will let you know how it goes once it is through. Oh well...LJ must be a city girl she was so funny harvesting your garden. And I haven't had Suman since I was a kid. My grandma use to make suman and tunupeg kakanin for special occasions. Well have a good week my friend. My condolences to Ate Gie…My favorite uncle and wife went into home care. After a week she passed away. Two weeks later, he passed away. Both were found passed away in their beds. Both passed away in their beds peacefully. He always said he wouldn’t go until after she left. They are now still together in heaven 🙏🏻. I want to go like that, in my sleep.

When we lost power for a week, had to empty and clean refrigerator. Over 100 usd in food lost😔. Second time this year. Now I am paranoid about filling it up again. I do have my small generator back after 2 months in the repair shop and have the other one I bought but these power outages are way to often. At least the refrigerator did not fail with all the power surges. I do have a suppressor on them. Puppies battling as always, and I think I’m gonna make a cheese omelet with veggie sausage. Only 7 to go✨😎👍🏼
