Japan visa rejection cannot be predicted but still it is lower than most other G7 countries.I booked mine flights through Singapore airlines but remember refundable flights are expensive.

What is the difference between tourist e visa and short term, tourist option which I am seeing while applying for Japan visa. For short term, tourist slots available in Bangalore.

There are other categories also included in the short term.Choose E- visa category and if appointment is not available then you can select short term. As short term also has tourist subcategory under it. So go ahead and book appointment. Anyways getting an appointment is more important as the visa will be granted as per our documents.

Not all vfs require online appointment. So just check with the local VFS by calling them And as for application form you can fill online but you'll have to take the print out and take it along with you for submission so it's better to carry an extra printout in case there is some mistake.Otherwise you can also ask for form at VFS they will provide you.

At least keep 1 lakh for 10 days(excluding flight) as flights tickets are the major expense. You can easily do it under 1 lakh provided you spend frugally like me😀

On their website they have written that person residing on the same address in relation can submit the application on your behalf.But it's best to confirm it from VFS call their call center and confirm.

Yes..a leave letter mentioning your name designation , the period you have been associated with them and dates of leave with reason as tourism purpose on a company letterhead sanctioned and signed by your manager/Concerned person.

Basically it means that they have sanctioned your leaves and you are going for purely tourism purpose. It shows your intent to come back to home country.

what if the employer is not providing NOC due to some reasons? What else can be given? Salary slips/Letter of Appointment is that enough?

The NOC or leave letter makes your visa application more credible and the rejection chances are lower.You can try writing a mail to VFS asking them for any optional documents.What about your travel history?

Take a printout along with you, VFS people will tell you while collecting whether they need it or no.As they have many such cases they deal with on day today basis.They will definitely tell you incase you are missing a document.

No need for an old passport but incase you have a Valid US visa/Schengen visa you can take a copy of it and add it to your documents.

That lucky guy is my kid 😀.We both have similar travel history but still he got a 5 year visa🤔.No we didn't apply for an E-visa.As we travelled in spring season and this thing started in April.But literally there is no difference between the two in terms of process 😒

Well you can always try and apply.There is always a chance that you will get a visa.But make sure you give proper documentation and good financial support documents as your intention to visit should be clear.Please note the embassy doesn't provide the reason for rejection so it's hard to guess.

Yes you would be granted single entry visa in most cases.But it is actually random I even had US visa but they didn't grant me a multiple entry instead my kid got a 5 year visa.

Bank statements can be accepted only in case the applicant does not have Form 16 or IT returns. A letter from the applicant mentioning the reason for not submitting the same is required.

Hey Himanshu it's great to hear that you are all planning for japan trip. As there are only 4 people(friends) so it's better to apply individually. Also have good balance in all of your accounts. Atleast 2-3 lakh.Submit your IT returns and also bank statement for last 6 months. A visa is rejected incase where the embassy people think that your intention to come back to home country is not clear.So if incase it happens also don't get disheartened.The rejection rate for japan visa is very less so you can go ahead and try your luck.Make sure all your documents are perfect and maintain a good amount of steady balance in your account.

You can choose to apply individually if both are working or you can also show that one of you is sponsoring the other in that case you need to submit only the sponsor's documents.
