I love your Japan exchange videos it reminds me so much of my exchange program experience with my school's sister school in Osaka last April which is a Catholic school! I remember on my last day of school I was crying in front of the whole school during our farewell ceremony because I didn't want to go home and my classmates and homeroom teachers who are also in the same level and section as your classmates (K1A) in the video, surprised me by asking for my indoor shoes so they could sign them so that I wouldn't forget them :((

Lack of respect on both ends, lack of discipline on both ends. Teachers don't like ACTUALLY working with students and vice versa. There's a genuine expression of care from teachers and students both, for the most part, and from what I've seen. America doesn't have any of it.

It really depends on your city and your class mates, I live in West Texas and we are all super friendly with each other and with the teachers as well. Most of us are hispanicthough so I don't know if that difference in culture has to do with it

This makes me so sad to watch, I'll be 18 this May, and finally graduating high school. All of my school life was absolutely miserable, the people, the environment, the teachers, the place I was in. When i look at this Japanese school compared to this one in LA, I just regret everything from the past 7 years. There's this feeling of longing watching your videos, I just wish so much that I had that. I love watching how happy everyone is though :) these videos are lovely
