Konoike Shinden Kaisho, a 5-minute walk from JR Konoike Shinden Station in Higashi-Osaka, is a facility that managed and operated a new rice field developed by the wealthy merchant Konoike family during the Edo period.
The grounds of the meeting place are a national historic site, and the bookstore, mansion storehouse, document storehouse, rice storehouse, tool storehouse, the ridge plate of the bookstore's parlor from the Edo period, and the talisman of the rice storehouse are important cultural properties.
It is currently closed for earthquake-proofing construction, and is scheduled to reopen in October 2020.
I had heard the name Konoike before, but it wasn't until I visited the ruins of Nitta Kaisho that I was told that ``70% of Japan's wealth is in Osaka, and 80% of Osaka's wealth is in Imabashi.'' I learned that he was a wealthy merchant.
I went to the ruins of Konoike Shinden Kaisho in 2022, and while I was not making a video, I was walking around Denpo in Konohana Ward, Osaka City, and came across the white Western-style building of Konoike's former head office.
I remembered when I went to Konoike Shinden Kaisho and thought it was the head office of the Konoike Zaibatsu, but I was also surprised to find out that the Konoike Group and the Konoike Zaibatsu are not related.
When I leave it to my free time and go out here and there, it's interesting to connect a lot of things.
The Osaka Museum of History also had a section dedicated to the Konoike Zaibatsu.
There are three Nitta Kaisho ruins that currently exist in Osaka Prefecture, and we would also like to see a video of the Kagaya Shinden Kaisho ruins. This is a little-known spot for viewing autumn leaves for free.

I also went to the former Ueda family residence in Yao, the site of Annaka Shinden Kaisho, so I would like to make a video of it someday.
