I am from mainland China, and I like Japanese culture very much. One of the main reasons is that Japan has not experienced China's Mongolian descent to the south and Manchu Qing entry, so it has retained a lot of traditional culture and East Asian culture. Reminds me of the former Tang Empire, powerful, beautiful, peaceful and free Maybe there are many historical problems between our two nations, and some of them are not perfectly resolved now, but I think the Chinese nation and the Yamato nation are friends and relatives for thousands of years. In the hundreds of years of the decline of the modern East, modern Japan will It is a good example for China and one of the references for modern Chinese political reform. The former students are now our teachers.
The Yuan and Qing dynasties are also part of East Asian culture. Chinese culture does not consist only of the Han Chinese. In addition, China has developed by completely destroying the traces and culture of the previous dynasty (previous power) every time the dynasty changed, and the bloodline was extinguished. The main cause of cultural destruction in modern China is the Cultural Revolution led by the Communist Party of China, Mao Zedong. This is also a “destructive culture” brought about by the harsh continental society, and it is a form of culture. Unlike continental nations, where it is easy to migrate by land, and where conflicts, eliminations, and purges occur among immigrants, in island nations, most people have no choice but to live together rather than clash, eliminate, or purge. A confined and closed society in an island country, this is also good and bad. We must understand that China and Japan are not relatives, but merely neighbors. Hopefully we are good neighbors.
@@rikipu01 You can study the blood relationship between the two nationalities of China and Japan by yourself. Today’s Japanese basically migrated from the mainland, and the native Japanese are assimilated, just like southern China. In addition, Xu Fu and Jianzhen brought a lot of Han Chinese genes to Japan in the feudal era, and there are many such examples, so the blood relationship of East Asians is as close as that of Europeans
Japan is my most favorite country. I don’t know why… but I just love Japan…

my favorite country ever. miss this wonderful nation. i lived in japan for 3 years. 2.5 years in chiba near tokyo, and 8 months in a small valley town named tendo in yamagata. despite being just appx 300km apart, both are having very different climate. tokyo is hot, humid, and stormy during the summer, you just simply can't leave the apartment without an umbrella! winter in tokyo is much sunnier, cool and pleasant with very rare and little amount of snow, you can just go around without wearing a knit hat. in fact, the sea water in tateyama beach (the very southernmost tip of chiba, far away from the city) is still warm due to the effect of kuroshio current ! amazing isn't it? yamagata on the other hand, is freezing cold(not as cold as ukraine) and very snowy during the winter ! And the winter is much longer than tokyo, the snowfall starts to occur as early as november. the snow can last until the mid of march, where most of the places in japan are already enjoying the blooming of sakura. according to my coworkers, the region in nagano and the island of hokkaido are much more snowier than here! very distinct variation of weather, given the size of this country. would like to travel to japan as a tourist again in future. too many places have yet to explore!

I could see my country from your point of view. 20:35 The snow in Niigata reminds me of the first sentence of Yasunari Kawabata’s novel, “Snow Country”. “The train came out of the long tunnel into the snow country.” Like this sentence, after passing the long tunnel from Gunma to Niigata in winter, there is suddenly the snowy country…! As a Japanese, I don’t know why some American people still adhere to the myth that the atomic bomb forced Japan to surrender. It was Soviet Union participation that forced Japan to surrender. The Japanese government was not shaken by Nagasaki on August 9th as with Hiroshima on August 6th. They were rather shocked by the participation of Soviet Union that they had asked to mediate peace, and then they understood that there was no other way but to surrender. This has already been settled academically by revealed various documents. The atomic bomb was completely unnecessary.

Unlike Japanese right-wingers, I have no intention of denying the Nanjing Massacre, the 731 Units, or the death march of Bataan, because they are academically proven. Great documentary, the only thing I disagree with is the Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was not necessary and there is enough documented evidence in the US and Japan to prove this. The Americans wanted to use those bombs, no matter what. The amount of time and resources used to study the aftermath and not to cure the victims of their suffering proves it. I've been to Japan many times and love the people and its culture.

It is a view I am aware of, and partially subscribe to. I was careful to state "it was reported that" regarding the casualties of a full-scale invasion so that it was not shown to be my opinion. My videos are not about historical revisionism - there are plenty of other channels that take that view. Perhaps in the fullness of time the "official" history will see the bombings in a very different light, one much more critical of their usage that resulted in such horror for the civiliians of these cities.

I have been in many countries, including Japan. Of all of them, to an American, Japan impressed me as the most foreign, but also the most delightful. They also make the best kitchen knives that on can buy, albeit expensive. I have also collected a large selection of images of Japanese woodblock art, mostly Kewase Hasui.

Explanation of Jomon oeriod is correct. And Jomon DNA has been continueing until present era. We Japanese are Jomon race. Don't forget invasion of Mongolia in 1274,1281. This narration said what Japan occupied Korea. But Japan had never fought against Korea to annex. In 1894 Japan released Korea from Qing-china by the victory of Sino-Japanese war. Korea had been slavish dependency of China for 1000 years long. Japan supported to establish Korean empire in 1895. Soon Korea had approached to Russia and Korea owed huge debt from Russia. So Russia took advantage of Korea in stead of the debt to build fortress inKorea. If Russia got colony on Korean peninsula, the security of the sea of Japan must be empty. So Russo-Japanese war began in 1904. Japan won Russia completely in 1905. If Japan had an ambition of territory, Japan must annex Korea in 1905. But Japan denied Korea's offer to join Japan. This video is ok, but I have one problem with the history section: the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings weren’t done because Japan wouldn’t have surrendered otherwise, and Japan did not surrender because of the Atomic bombs dropped on those two cities. These are two inaccurate but unfortunately very commonly believed myths. The truth is that the allies had agreed earlier that year that the Soviet Union would declare war on Japan and invade in August. The US dropped the two atomic bombs to send a message to the Soviet Union. And Japan did not surrender because of the atomic bombings. They surrendered because of the Soviet declaration of war on Japan. The KZbinr Shaun made a good video on this topic, it’s called “Dropping the Bomb: Hiroshima and Nagasaki”. I highly recommend anyone reading this watch it. There’s also a Foreign Policy article titled “The Bomb Didn’t Beat Japan… Stalin Did” which is also pretty good.
