Thank you so much for the wonderful video. You had to climb dozens of staircases - what an endurance! Now you are ready for the Olympic competition 😉

The stairs are very steep and the ceiling to the upper floor is quite low, so tall people have to bend down to climb. But I'm used to it because I was born in this city and have been to Himeji Castle many many times! 😄

Hi, thank you for sharing. It is advisable to visit Himeji Castle during weekend or weekday is less crowded😅? And is Kokoen garden still worth visiting after so many steep stairs😂?

Very Spartan. No furniture or artwork or carpets just endless corridors. The building is much more interesting from the outside.

Been there myself, quite amazing. Normally filming inside castles, temples isn’t allowed.

Filming depends on the site such as kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIrUZJ-OlpiGgMk Here at Himeji castle, you can't use selfie sticks but it was OK to film.

Been there with my family The wooden stairs were too steep to my liking And the fact that we had to wear socks made it rather dangerous But maybe it's just me 😂

@@VSV_Japan Thank you so much! You know, I used to live in Himeji (near Shougun Bashi). I think that Himeji's takoyaki is better than Osaka's, and that will be what my video will be about.

@@Maplecook Do you happen to know a takoyaki shop called "Takopy" near Himeji Station? It used to be called "Takopia" before but the name changed because the owner changed... so I heard. Anyway, that takoyaki is my favorite and every time I go back to Himeji, I order 2 takoyakis for myself! 😄

@@VSV_Japan タコピアですかぁ。。。

今度機会があれば立ち寄ってみてください!tabelog.com/hyogo/A2805/A280501/28028954/ himeji-festa.com/shop/detail/39

I am a little bit disappointed to tell the truth. From outside it looks really interesting but from inside.... In comparison to european castles the japanese castles looks ugly and boring.
@VSV_Japan
@VSV_Japan 6 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that. But considering this castle was built in the mid 13th century, this is the best they could do.
@jyc313
@jyc313 6 ай бұрын
Don’t be ridiculous. By the 17/18th centuries Europe had long moved past its grand castles building days. Artillery and ranged arms have become advanced enough that there was no practical reason to build the big castle complexes of centuries past. There were repairs or restorations done to older castles but this was at the huge expense of its owners. If you’re going to bash another culture at least try to do some research. Go back to your room Timmy you’re grounded until we tell u to come out.

@@jyc313 You seem to be very uneducated. There are many european castles built in 11th/ 12th century. They look better than the japanese "castles" and are often even bigger. This is my opinion and it has nothing to do with "bashing" another culture you uneducated leftist.
