Eh that can be discussed today's Japan is a force to be recond with and is USA's closest ally but ww2 Japan relied on their samurai tactics (you know dying in battle and brute force) for example the IJN Yamato largest warship ever created, but she had imperfections in her guns, her damage control was poor and her aa gunners were untrained.

@@paulpoh2042. As the world knows, the imperial dragon arrogantly believes it has exclusive rights to the South China Sea and the East China Sea. The UN put that false claim to rest years ago but Beijing will not comply and continues its forceful quest for regional dominance. Those islands have value in the eyes of the CCP for strategic military purposes to further impose its expansionism, as you well know. Fishing rights, mineral resources and provocative territorial violations of neighboring nations is simply par for the coarse for the CCP, the region’s nightmare.I get a sense that this menace will jolted awake by an unexpected reality.

I've read where the Japanese Navy has modeled their fleets and naval strategy much like the U.S. Highly competent, they're a formidable force in the region and represent a significant deterrent to Chinese aggression in the area. No doubt they would be like having an additional American base in the area given our close relationship and our sharing of technology with their military. Without stating the obvious, there's a reason why China never conquered Japan militarily.

What is this "The key to keeping the peace in the Western Pacific is that invading forces be stopped from over flying non-combatants" ? Do you mean ADIZ ? An air defense identification zone (ADIZ) is airspace over land or water in which the identification, location, and control of civil aircraft is performed in the interest of national security. They may extend beyond a country's territory to give the country more time to respond to possibly hostile aircraft. The concept of an ADIZ is not defined in any international treaty and is not regulated by any international body. Note: military aircraft is treated the same way but some are with additional caution of 'escorting' but there is no legal base to call these 'invasion'. Everyone do it including U.S.

Good luck with the Philippines trying to defend it's territories. Current administration is always kowtowing to what CCP wants (Due in part to borrowing money from CCP to pay off debt to IMF). If they didn't kowtow, the existing problem is that they don't possess the same military capability like Japan (Decades of political corruption have seen zero improvements to it's military (at least when the late ex president Marcos was in power, he believed in defence spending)).

This statement really illustrates a lack of knowledge of world events, and military readiness. Japan currently has two carriers, that were helicopter only carriers. With the implementation of the F-35 they refitted those two carriers for its use. Compared to U.S. Naval power, this is meaningless. You statement indicates fear of Japan's Navy...the U.S. has 11 total Super Carriers, roughly nine active at a time, one of which would annihilate both of Japan's, to say nothing of Carrier Group support vessels of the U.S. True, Japan is a U.S. ally, which is great...but the U.S. has nothing to fear from Japan if it weren't. The biggest threat to U.S. military power worldwide is U.S. politics.

I often told that Japan only country in the world who can tame the Chinese militarily, even China knows it well. Chinese hegemony can be controlled by one and the only Japan, so they should discard and remove NATO restrictions and should play a key role in safeguarding peace and harmony of world otherwise threatened by Chinese. Jai Hind!

Nice video with one glaring problem. The only operational stealth warplanes in the world are from the U.S. They are the F-117, B-2, F-22 and the F-35. Also, why are you comparing the concept Japanese FX to Russian or Chinese so-called "stealth" fighters? They don't have any true stealth fighters, just cheap knockoffs. That said, if anyone else can build a true 6th generation stealth fighter, it would be Japan. I hope they do.
