I am 75 I got a recording of this with curzon playing when I was 12 years old. For a long time it was my only record and I listened to it day and night. This pianist is brilliant. Beautiful phrasing gorgeous nuances such perfect rhythm , a pleasure to listen to.
Beautiful! You are a Hero, Nobu!! Such a handicap is never a barrier to this genius musician. He is seeing the world with his heart and ears. I hope to see his concert tour in South Korea.
Really a wonderful performance. Thank you so much from Italy maestro Paolo Carignani , and Thank you so deeply, Nobuyuki Tsujii. Both the eroic tone and the melancholic, (remembering what is forever lost ) are wonderfully expressed in your pure and moving touch and, I feel so, in your shining soul

Nobuyuki Tujii is amazing, what a remarkable young man, born blind in 1988 I believe. I really enjoyed this performance of Beethoven's famous "Emperor" Piano Concerto no 5, then with another piece of Beethoven as an encore. Blind classical pianists are very rare, the only one I have heard of is Frenchman Bernard D'Ascoli, but I am not sure if he is still performing. Beethoven was listening in Paradise, in Heaven his hearing is restored and he would be very impressed with Nobuyuki's performance here. I'm a dedicated amateur jazz pianist and there have been two outstanding blind jazz pianists. Art Tatum (1909-1956) had about 25% vision in one eye but was functionally blind and did not look at his hands when playing. He had astonishing technique and harmonies and ideas that were ahead of their time, although he did not compose as far as I know. He was so good that Vladimir Horowitz used to go to hear him play. Then there was my fellow Briton, Sir George Shearing (1919-2011), born blind in Battersea, London. By 1947 he was the top jazz pianist in Britain and he decided to go to America to see if he could establish himself there. He managed to develop his own unique style and sold millions of records, winning the respect of musicians such as Miles Davis. Nobuyuki is a remarkable talent and I hope to hear him live in the UK at some point.

I play both Nobuyki Tsjuii and Alexnder Malofeev every day (1) because I love what they put into their music and (2) I find them both most endearing. I have no musical training at all so I don't even try to compare them. They both give me great joy and I am most appreciative that they choose to share their talent--they are a gift from the gods and are extraordinary each in his own way. How I wish either or both of them would come to Nova Scotia or New Brunswick, but alas, I can't see that happening any time soon, if ever.

Además de excelente pianista entra dentro de lo desconcertante como puede lograrlo, es mágico por lo imposible pero ahí está como evidencia.

Started watching this but after 4 ad breaks in the first 12 minutes, I gave up. Absolutely ridiculous and an insult to such a gifted performer.
