Why is the word "channel" in your intro written as ちゃんねる? Shouldn't it be チャネル since it's a loan word?

I came here after realizing while everyone is fursy about masks I was researching how Japanese people feel about mask wearing because I found it was very normal to them and showed a high level of responsibility

TokyoBriBri every grocery store from small to large at least, require face masks, and the state I’m living in, I haven’t heard or seen much of this nonsense. I suppose the people in my state are a bit more sensible and have better things to do. Mostly everyone I see, wear masks where I live.

That’s good to hear! I keep seeing crazy things online about people harassing others and refusing to wear them.

The psychological and social aspects would also be a good point of discussion. Also seeing what would be people’s stopping point. It started with a mask, then went to 2, then vaccines, and now boosters and pills

It’s insane here in the south, people refuse to wear them and honestly I myself think they’re comfortable. Just because Americans don’t want to they make a huge deal of it like children 🙄

If you see someone in public without a mask waiving an American Flag, there's a 100% chance they think Coronavirus is a hoax

My opinion of us Americans on this topic? I was taught that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Also, example would be how as a kid, the more your parents force you to do something, even if it’s good for you like to eat fruits and vegetables, the more you hate it and hate them for it. Same thing happening here. We have grown children basically. Still childish af in the USA.

TokyoBriBri will you be making an update video on covid 19 and travel to japan? Currently I’m trying to study for language school in japan, and the lack of information is kinda worrisome. Thank you!

It absolutely broke my heart to see the Japanese speaker react to the Florida meeting....tgats how it makes me feel inside too, but to see it hurt somone from a world away...its so shameful. I keep trying to share things like this because they have no political connections for American to use as an excuse for dismissal

First: I think that you have those people in each country who are against the regulations to wear a mask. But in my country CH they exist too but they are in a very small percentage. Second: there are still people who are still thinking that the pandemic is made by the government to control the people... Third: why is the percentage against it is so big in the USA? I believe that comes from the way you were risen. They look first on their personal rights before supporting your neighbours.... I had arguements with some KZbinrs living in Japan coming from the USA. It was at the beginning when there was not any statistics about the number of the daily new cases and the number of the daily deaths published in the USA and in Japan while the number of people in Italy, Spain and other European countries were exploding... The lockdown has been declared here and then you have had to see people making fun of the pandemic. At the end I have had to unsub them to not to see their stupidity. It has been like a Logan Paul case no. 2.... I will never forget the president of the USA, the prime minister of the UK and the prime minister of Brazil who has been declaring the covid 19 pandemic as a "little flu“... now these three countries are a mess... Forth: I have seen younger KZbinr who were more concerned about the YT hanami party.... Last: In each country you can find stupid people - but you also find very nice ones. Thank you for your video. Stay safe!

Culturally and Traditionally Americans are free to make their own choices. Culturally and Traditionally in Asia the people do what they are told and the current generations of people in Asia have never known freedom. I'm sure instead of believing they should also be equally free, they believe Americans should be equally controlled. Sad.

Wearing a mask isn't taking away freedom. It's showing respect and consideration for others. You sound very selfish. When I wear a mask, I am concerned about other Americans. You need to check your privilege real quick if you think a little mask is taking away freedom.

Its about individual vs collective freedom, whats up for debate here is freedom to wear mask or not, or freedom to not get covid from others, unfortunately americans dont value collective freedoms, whereas asia has much more collective freedom, in japan you have the freedom to send your kids to school alone knowing that the streets are safe, in america you cant even send your kids to school without the fear that they could be shot to death because of a lunatic who most likely is using a legally purchased weapon Americans, sorry but you aren’t as free as you think, individual freedom is not the only form of freedom, when it comes to collective freedom like peace, harmony, cooperation, america is not very free (not to mention the largest prison population on the planet) japan and asian countries are also more free in that aspect So if i were choosing to live in a country based on freedom, america would not even be a thought, considering the extreme lack of collective freedom is extremely low compared to japan, dare i say china is even more free than the us in that aspect, because asian cultures value collective freedom much more than the west

I kind of wanted to dislike the video because the video you have people reacting to feels like a way to clown on American since everyone from Florida is batsh*t crazy lol but that one guy hit the issue on the head with a hammer it's an issue because it is no longer a *Choice* it's a Requirement

It is too late for now but anyway, the discussion reminds me of John Stuart Mill. As Mill states, I believe utilitarianism supports wearing a mask since without a mask may harm an individual's health.
