Very good and Concise! I have an exam about Japanese History in June and your videos about the different Periods are really helping me! ☀️

My Japanese history book just treats the Asuka Period as part of the Tomb phase or Kofun phase or Yamato confederacy and doesn’t even mention the term “Asuka Period”. It simply says the Kofun phase or Tomb phase went all the way from the year 250 to the year 700 and that the Yamato confederacy went from 250 to 710 when the Nara Period begins.

Proof-watched this like six times and yet still I somehow ended up with an extra L on the end of “capital.” Oh well, that’s life. Enjoy everyone!

Studied the Japanese history in university. Literally the BEST video on the Asuka period EVER. & chronologically accurate depiction of the Chinese fashion of that time! (NOT Heian period court ladies with some Edo period samurai or Kyoto geisha LOL)

A newby here as well. I found this incredible space when looking for Japanese music to work by. I love it all, especially as I can't find a way to sit down and read my Japanese history books. I'd love to learn about samurai and their mons as my great grandfather was samurai and we have no info about him in the U.S. Keep up the wonderful histories. I'll be sharing w my family Incase they've yet to find you.
