This video is actually pretty great and needed for western 88Kasyo Fan, we can't really easily get information about them. I am not surprised that Hiroi is a authentic, drunk, genius. They truly ARE rock. I happened to listen to 88Kasyo around the same I watched Bocchi, they're so fucking rad.

Just listened to 5 songs that i have no idea what they are called because i don't speak japanese, the songs did go extremely hard tho. Good shit, thanks for the recommendation

88Kasyo Junrei, from what i've read their songs mostly about shintoism and buddhism, things that you chat about after 2am.

As someone who has done enough LSD(among other psychedelics) in my life to turn trump into a hippie, it really isn’t anything close in resemblance to the effects of dopamine active serotonergic psychedelics however it does have a tendency to bring on some pretty weird headspace’s while tripping. But if I were to compare it to a psychedelic it would be one of the non stimulating psychedelics like psilocin or most others of the substituted tryptamines(bar Ibogaine). 2:08

yea this has nothing similar to LSD what so ever. i dunno why it's being mentioned even, they are doing a drug that LSD actually helps you quit - ethanol/booze. thats literally how AA started: LSD (look it up)

88kasyo is an amazing band in music in general as well. They play pretty well, and have that unique sound when they play. Like when you hear the instruments, it's easy to find out it's them playing Unless they are drunk playing something new lol

When I was at Tower Records in Shinjuku in 2023 all their CDs were actually included in the Bocchi display! Regarding the authenticity, that is something I really love about the indy music scene in Japan. There really are a lot of bands just doing their thing, in styles they love. At least that is my impression :)

It's been a while since I last saw a video of Margaret Hiroi singing and playing, and when you mentioned it was a guy, I had to double check and make sure. To be fair, it did have me fooled the first time, but then I had that thousand yard stare like I was lied to the whole time.

ugh a drunk band is never good live i've seen bands on other stuff and be incredible. but too much booze and you motor skills are just gone,, there goes all your notes, movements etc. bit silly to me, who's done A to Z, let's say, booze/ethanol is just a rubbish 'performance' chemical
@creamCarnivalJones123423 күн бұрын
I totally agree, but I will say there are moments in rock history such as Led Zeppelin STILL killing it while absolutely zooted which just bring out laughs and a bit of awe. It is definitely a hinderance and horrible if the band is too fucked to play, but (and this is from a straight-edge punk rock purist, so bias) rock and music in general has history with substances and I won't lie if it isn't "fun" to see Freddie Mercury drinking a beer while singing.
@hate6crew6death6roll23 күн бұрын
@@creamCarnivalJones1234 zooted and drunk = 2 different states of mind alteration, and motor function ability even, though. plus, having a tolerance for certain chemicals, like LZ band members really did, helps be able to work around it when it finally becomes 'your uniform'/addiction Straight edge eh? oh dear... seen that go wrong very quick. quicker than stuff you'd normally think would make that big slope much more icier downwards but you are right - music and art through all time has been substance influenced a lot, even the likes of pink floyd to van gogh - all had their demons but had their 'panaceas' to work through them, or for some, so they thought
