Sometimes you just get off of work and think hey let's board a bullet train and go somewhere!!!!! Why not visit a place I saw on Instagram earlier this week!!!
I am trying to be more adventurous again but honestly I am now a lot busier than I was, it's hard to plan things, and I kind of enjoy chilling on the weekends 🥲 But!!!! Life is about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and doing things like this every now and then, and honestly Japan is a great place to solo travel!
Would you do this kind of trip alone? Let me know down below~

Take care when hiking to hokoras and shrines Allison, I often do this and they’re often far from help if something goes wrong

To quote the wise words, written on many billboards in Tokyo Station: "Go Nature, Go Nagano." I went there with my wife on our Japan trip and we really liked it. Especially Azumino, where we rented bikes, went through the mountains, hiked to waterfalls, looked at the worlds biggest wasabi farm, watched random wild monkeys, and just really enjoyed the vibes. It feels really relaxed, I'd highly recommend it, if you're into nature. Other recommendation: Gujo Hachiman, ridiculously pretty and really nice in the summer.

Back in the '80's. I'd drive around the Mutsu bay area, intentionally getting lost. Back then, I'd be a curiosity in the smaller (1 street light) towns I'd stop at and the kids surprised me with their English skills. Your Nagano trip looks very relaxing. Thank you for inviting us along. Also, in your video, I can see, the mice were successful in Belling the cat.

Hi Allison, catching up on the videos I’ve missed, really enjoyed this ‘spur of the moment’ trip away. What a beautiful place, so nice that it wasn’t busy either. I think not planning too much is sometimes a great thing to do and then just ‘go with it’. The restaurant you went too looked really nice and the food looked delicious, the perfect sort of thing needed on a cold and snowy day. I’d definitely be happy to get away on little trips alone with minimal planning, life doesn’t always have to be so organised. Thank you for sharing this brilliant video and all your previous content with everyone. Best wishes to you 😊

The big trees in the snow were beautiful! The crowed places in Japan were not my favorite, I liked the rural areas.

Love Nagano I haven't been to the shine in the mountains in winter as they told me it's too snowy, I recommend the ninja house opposite to the place, so much fun trying to workout how to move from each room :)

Reminds me of when I went on some solo trips to more rural areas by bus in Japan with having an hour long bus ride followed by a 1.5 hour walk to get to your destination LOL. It's funny how it doesn't seem bad in Japan but in the US I would never do that.😅

Nagano is such a lovely region! I love that you went on a spontaneous trip ♡ One of my first experiences in Japan (oh gosh was 2010...fourteen years ago?!) was at a rose garden in Nagano 🌹 While living in Japan, I swear one of the connecting trains to Nagano was set to *boiler room* though LOL. Take care, Allison! 😊 Edit: The shot at 10:20 is so cute! Those trees are awesome (*´∀`*)

Hi Alison ❤ don’t mind me asking , my family and I are going to travel to Kyoto and Tokyo on 23rd of May , how’s the weather there like ? Is it cold that we require long sleeve clothing or just a normal T-shirt will do ? Cause you been living in Japan for almost 6 years so it’s better asking someone who is local 🎉. And like how do we communicate to the locals there ? Is google translate okay ? What bout theme parks during end of May cause we wanna avoid the GOLDEN WEEK LMAO 🤣. Last but not least I would like to thank you for all the tutorial, like for example, the JR rail pass ❤ been binge watching all videos

In japan, woman can shave her fase at barber. Womans shaving(dermaplaning) can do at barber is only in japan. Womans shaving is japanese traditional culture from 300years ago.
