I wish we had nice craft stores here in the US! I went to Michael's recently and it was no better. 😭 I was really tempted to buy the Totoro paper craft, glad Ping got it for you!

4:00 It's mostly a population density thing. The USA has a population of 340 million people, but to have a population density equal to Japan (125 million people) the USA would need over 6 billion people. Lots of things, from high end crafting culture to high speed trains, only work if you have people packed in like sardines.

You should absolutely visit! I didn't visit any art stores since I have such a huge stockpile of art supplies already, but it would have been fun to browse. Dangerous, but fun! 😄
