This is a random comment but the lights flicker because those lights operate under AC or alternating current and the frequency of the lights isn’t aligned with the fps of the camera

Unfortunately japan is not handling the pandemic well. :( For a country that relies on tourism revenue, they really need to open up soon.

Hi bailey, I want to ask that did you learned japanese before coming to Japan for college or after ? thank you
@baileyvanmatre42742 жыл бұрын
@@mika4444 I took a year of Japanese at Purdue university before I went to japan. Honestly though, I learned more Japanese during 4 months in japan than I did in a whole year in America. Immersion is the greatest language learning tool!

A late reply from me lol. Hi, How are you? I have also applied to study abroad there. Do you mind me asking, you a few questions about your experience? Did you pay for airfare yourself? Why did you have to live at the hotel first before you move into the dorm? And finally, luggage-wise. How much to bring to live in the country for a semester? My apologies if I bombarded you with questions. Just very curious and I love your video. Thank you!
@baileyvanmatre42742 жыл бұрын
No problem at all! Yes I payed for my own airfare, but I wonder if there are ways to get some kind of help with that. You could ask your advisor about that. I bought a one way ticket there since I didn't know when I planned on leaving, and then bought a ticket home about a month before I left japan. I don't really recommend this as it was expensive lol. I stayed in a hotel the first night because of the way my flight lined up with the buses to Tsukuba. There are maybe 2 bus times you can choose from where your japanese tutor will meet you and help you get set up. I was afraid that I wouldn't have enough time to get off the plane and make one of those busses, so I chose to stay in a hotel and take the bus the next morning. Luggage wise, I brought a very large checked bag, a carry on suitcase, and a backpack. I'd love to talk to you more about it, feel free to find my instagram @spookybebe and send me a message!
