Our local supermarket, in addition to the regular oversalted and still not tasty stuff ubiquitous everywhere, partnered with a local sushi joint, which makes sushi right there. That saves the day. In general, whole foods is the only chain supermarket with somewhat edible prepared foods.

Did y’all watch the video? That dry ass meal. He said the best thing was fried shrimp covered in mayo and then choked down some of that bellywasher that looks like Dimetapp. That bland bento box looked like it tasted like the color beige and the look on his face when that potato salad wasn’t hitting the way he said it was going to about killed me

My mom lives in Gardena, CA.. it’s mostly a Japanese community and there’s several Japanese restaurants and Japanese markets. Most of the kids I went to school with are Japanese-American and I have been in their homes and had meals with their families. When I visit my mom, I like to go to one of the markets and buy a few things from Japanese snacks and candies and a couple of bento boxes to go.. it’s like an treat for me every time! Now I just need to get to Japan someday! 😁😉

great video, more supermarket ones please. Is there a separate section for vegetarian prepared foods? The pudding is a Spanish flan, an egg custard with a caramelized sugar sauce on top. The caramel gives it the rummy taste. If you were serving it at home you would invert it on a plate, eating it out of the container dig down to get the caramel in each bite.
