Yeah, 2024 has just been on the hotter side unfortunately. Many Southern Hemisphere skifields used to peek into October, but this year they're all starting to shut (eg Mt Buller in Australia or Porters in New Zealand). Hopefully the coming December and 2025 season will be a bit better.

Hi! What do you recommend for ski passes - should we get the all-inclusive for all resorts or just one?
@absentabroad11 ай бұрын
i think it depends on your skill level for skiing and decide which slopes you plan on visiting first, then from there you’ll be able to decide on which kind of pass you need - i went with a seasonal 3-day pass, and purchased an extra single ticket for the night ski since that was excluded from the seasonal pass - this was quite convenient as it covered the bus fares etc but i still suggest checking hakuba’s website for the most recent deals for the upcoming ski season :)

@absentabroad9 ай бұрын
oooh exciting! we emailed rhythm to ask for this and they said it was free from our airbnb (i think this also depends where you are staying, so it's better to ask your airbnb/hotel first which rental place is recommended) :)

Great vlog thank you! I'm heading there this coming January - would you recommend renting a car to move around or are the shuttle bus routes enough to cover restaurants/onsens/cafes in the area?
@absentabroad Жыл бұрын

How did you find the mixture between Japanese people and tourists/foreigners working. Was it more westernised or still quite traditional?
@absentabroad Жыл бұрын

@@thejackyjooj3861 Try Madarao Kogen or Nozawa Onsen if you want more traditional experience. Personally I like Nozawa Onsen more, it’s a huge resort and well developed but not too Westernise like Hakuba. Hakuba is known to be a winter suburb of Australia😂
