why dont you build more shrines with monk? a shrine, even without herds, produces resources... and afterwards change to isolation for the 10 troops research and a free military prodution building

AzoiatheCobra I don't know the exact math on how much animals improve the rate or not, but I just decided to use the resources elsewhere and come back to the shrines later.

i understand that. its ony that i usually put the shrines in a defensive way and have them booming the resource i need. having all 20 plus the wonder boost makes your lack of gold into a ocean of yellow quite fast. (but also i have the shipment that makes you produce xp just for lolz, so i quite need ALL the shrines up). Also i never thougth of canceling the hunt of your oponent that way, it is a nice idea.

I'm not 100% sure, because I haven't played LAN, but I think it is a firewall problem. Check to make sure you allow age of empires full online access.

Parek Zalzzabar 3 reasons. 1 animals boost your shrines production of resources. 2 it serves as scouting to see enemy army movement. 3 other nations cannot kill animals on the shrines, so you take away their food supply :)

@@aminebe1263 yeah but that would mean your opponent needs to waste time and resources on making a decent siege army, find your shrines and then destroy them. That would also tell your japanese opponent that you have an army and what it is, so they'll prepare counters for it

Aztec boom is pretty good though - early boom with powerful farms, hit hard in the midgame. I guess you could also see it as a late rush, depending on your perspective...

Sory i misspelled my sentence :/, so your food you have to pay for your age up is cheaper (age 1 is 680 compared to 800), this is due to the consulate that is beiing assigned to ports aswell as cheaper building costs. The time you age up depends on the amount of vills you put on your wonder, a normal age up (like brit, or french) is 4 vils on the wonder, you can put up to 8 vills on the wonder then it will go even faster (but it is a exponential function in the way that the marginal decrease of ageup time after 4 vills goes slower and slower. I hope this helps you :) but further you can ask on ESOC forums for help :) they are the pro's and know much more about the game than i do :)

the reduction in cost is 15% thats says the consulate :), also when in age 2 when you want to fight or age 3, change the conulate to japann, it will give them an attack boost :)

It sure looks like it, but don't forget other civs like brits or russia for example they don't need to shop wood for a shrine, so in a case it balances each other out :), the time those vills arent building a consulate(takes alot of time) and gathering wood is around 150 food villiger time i think :), atleast i hope it cause else it aint fair XD

Yeah that would never work against any decent player, atleast not how you played it... why don't you use your consulate? for booming ally with dutch at some point for a free bank. ally with japan for fights, take at the start the 7 crossbowmen from the portoguese consulate and better get a decent defensive army or a wall up before minute 8, wall before minute 6, because any rush civ will be at your home base at min 5.30-6.00...

sorry that i was a little harsh. i enjoy your vids and i just see some flaws from time to time, but i'm sure you are working on it, to give us even better hints and ideas how we can or should play. =) Maybe check out the traditional japan build with consulate at start, aging with 13 settlers (one shrine at start), heavenly kami, during age up 5 settlers food, rest on wood and shrines on wood, building shrines during aging up, after aging up immediatetly marketplace and shrines on gold (you need to have around 200 wood at age up for market and the market upgrades), 2 food, 1 all and 1 gold upgrade in market, 600 wood --> 2 barracks and more shrines, 4 settlers, 4 settlers, 600 gold --> semi ff, 2 berries. you have like 20 ashigarus and the 7 crossbowman at minute 8 and a really really good eco, semi ff at minute 12 and strong units. keep on the good work mate
