That's so sweet and kind of those people to write down what you have to do in Japanese for you. The customer service in Japan is beyond what you could ask for. I remember my very own heartwarming experiences I've had in Japan when I needed help and people were so kind to help me out without hesitation. That Candy store is heaven! I want to buy everything! XD Haha when Thomas said it is an obachan's paradise, it made me giggle, lol.

I want you guys to know that you both literally saved my life! I used to have an eating disorder and my weight dropped dangerously low to 60lbs. One day I was just on youtube when I came across your channel; I saw Thomas doing Karate and I saw how Tracy is always smiling and inspired by her surroundings and your love of food gave me a new motivation to live. I've since started doing karate too and I am a lot healthier now. Thank you both so, so much!

Hello Greenbo V! We are incredibly sorry for the late reply! Your comment has truly left a lasting impression and has warmed our hearts. We believe that no one person is perfect and we all have our struggles in life. Know that you are never alone and that we are always here to share our love and support! Thank you for sharing your story with us. We are incredibly grateful to have inspired you. Words do very little to express our gratitude, but please know that your positive words have a lit a flame of motivation in us to continue making videos! Since moving back to Canada, we have missed so many things about Japan. Thank you

100% agree with you on hole in the wall places - the worse the taste in decor, the better the taste in food :P great vlog as always!

Thanks a lot for the vlog :D Actually, writing down stuff is a pretty effective little life hack. I made a habit of doing it at midori-no-madoguchi when buying shinkansen tickets. I write down my departure station + date/time and arrival station + date/time and give it to the clerks saying お願いしますー then look at them work their magic. Saves a lot of hassle; little tip for future tourists. Happy new Year again :)

¥2,222 for the month's gas - that seems rather inexpensive (i.e. if you cook regularly at home). Can see both of you are trying to survive on a tight budget - quite different perspective of life/travel in Japan by other vloggers. BTW would have been interesting to capture the city scenario during the typhoon if it wasn't too dangerous. Thanks again for sharing.
