I'm going to Japan in June and question what time did you leave USJ, and what time did the train get to Tokyo?

i think we left usj at about 8pm! we had to catch the shinkansen around 9:30pm, and we arrived in tokyo around midnight. we bought tickets for the nozomi, which is the fastest train and takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to travel from shin-osaka station to tokyo station. hope this was helpful and that you enjoy your stay in japan~!!

hii loved the vlog! i'm planning to go there in january and i wasn't sure about making a day trip to osaka for usj but after watching the video i'm definitely going to do it! Can I ask at what time did you take the shinkansen and what time did you arrive at the park? ❤

thanks 💛 i believe we took the shinkansen at around 6am and then were inside the park by about 9:30am. the travel time of the initial ride was 2 hrs 30 min, but we had to transfer to the local trains to get to universal. i remember it being a little tiring and a bit expensive but definitely doable!

Hi!! if you are staying in Tokyo how do you get to Universal? would you recommend booking a hotel in Osaka for the evening?

hello and sorry for the late response!! i rode the shinkansen bullet train from tokyo to osaka early in the morning and had to transfer/take local trains to universal. then i took the train back to tokyo that night! it's quite hectic to do in one day, so i would recommend booking a hotel in osaka, especially if you have time and also want to explore osaka outside of the park^^

how much was the shinkansen ticket & is it a round ticket? i'm planning on going to japan early 2024 but havent decided if universal day trip is worth it yet >_

each ticket for the fastest train, the nozomi, had cost 17,820 yen (which is about 120 USD). i bought round trip tickets, but you can buy one-way. i ordered them from a kiosk at a JR station, but i think it’s recommended for most visitors to japan to get a Japan Rail Pass to save expenses on transportation^^ i would also look into booking tickets on klook, as it seems to be cheaper than buying in a station (i believe each ticket is ~100 USD). hope this helps!!
