This isn't supposed to be a real fight. It's judo in SPORT form. Same as wrestling or BJJ. Unless you implement them into combat, they are merely an art of their own. Case in point, there's no punching or kicking in ANY of those disciplines.

And the thing is that you apparently understand the subleties in bjj better than in judo. For an untrained eye both arts might look boring. When you start to understand the gripping tricks and patterns and strategies Judo becomes more and more interesting. Of course same with the patterns and strategies in BJJ. The deeper the understanding the more fun to watch it is
