In August, I spent two weeks in Japan - the most beautiful place I've ever been to. I filmed around the country and put together this video to relive the experience, I hope it does justice to it.
I am looking forward to returning one day and enjoying this absolutely incredible country once again.
As always, if you have any questions let me know and I'll respond to you.
Shot the Sony FX3
With Laowa Nanomorph Cinema Lenses (35mm, 50mm, 80mm): laowa-tiniest-...
Monitored on the Atomos Ninja V+
Mounted on the Sirui Traveler X Tripod
Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro
Color Graded in DaVinci Resolve
Music: Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major, Op. 58 - II. Andante con moto (Krystian Zimerman, Wiener Philharmoniker, Leonard Bernstein)

You know what I appreciate about this the most. You're still and observant. You let the camera just be, and let the world in. It's as close to honest filmmaking as you can get. Thank you for that. Sound design is beautiful as well.

the thing i adore most about him is that he truly makes these places his own. and the juxtapositions in this film had such seamless transitions, it's so gentle on the mind. you keep outdoing yourself, it's genuinely impressive. keep it up gawx

I don’t know how you’ve done this, but the way you are able to incorporate the live sounds in with the music is amazing, I’m not sure if this is inattention but at 1:53, the blue street light beats to the sound of the orchestra which is so cool, and the way you are able to tell the story of the intense city vibe and the chill and peaceful country/jungle is amazing. Hands down as you said one of your best videos yet, keep it up bro

I think that each one of us has a different perspective of what this video might mean... However, for me I can see the Chaos and calmness of the everyday routine, from the city to nature, from the hustle commute to the quiet self time, waiting for traffic lights, cycling etc. It reminds that there needs to be a balance for everything in life and too much of one side will outweight the balance. (Yin and Yang I suppose). Thank you Gawx for this beautiful video and please keep producing more content like this for us! Much love from the UK ❤
