I love trains because they meander through the countryside without hurting the environment. With ordinary roads and cars, you can stop anywhere and disrupt or destroy nature.

Wowwwwww Brother! What a stunning train! Your seat was amazing! The front area, where the shashou sits is pristine! It’s so perfectly clean and beautiful, it almost looks like a high end video game. 😊 The shashou himself sits so perfectly straight in his seat……amazing! Thank you for sharing your train ride and your delicious lunch with us. I want to take this train ride and I want to sit where you sat!

That is such a cool looking train. I didn't know there was a special train for Osaka/Nagoya. I actually was in Nagoya in March for the Ghibli theme park and wind up going to Osaka the next day. I did take the Shinkasen since I had the JR Pass. I need to spend a bit more time in Nagoya since I found out there's lots of stuff to do there.

I share your love of trains Shinichi. My last train trip was from Chicago to St. Paul, Minnesota. I really enjoyed it and it was my last trip by train with my now deceased mother. We really enjoyed that trip! Looks like your train is quite a step up from the Amtrak Phase VI coach car that I rode in; which wasn't bad by any means. The Hinotori is luxury as compared! 🙂 Thanks for the video!

Arigato gozaimasu! Loved this video Satoshi.👏 I love riding on trains when in Japan. It's such a great way of seeing more of the country and to do it in such comfort and in such a leisurely way seems ideal. Thanks to you, I just added a day trip to Nagoya to my Autumn Japan trip plan! My idea is to come from Kyoto to Osaka, take this train and when in Nagoya eat at the station (tachigui kishimen) and then visit Atsuta Jingu - there is a festival on November 1st (Atsuta Kousha Shuki Taisai) so that's the day I plan to visit. Does this sound like a feasible plan to you? 🙏🏼

That was soooo cool. I almost felt like I was riding the train. Do this again. Although I do have one question. Does the train have another control room at the other end to drive it back or does it "drive backwards" on the way back?
@kantanfood Жыл бұрын
This train has another control room at the other end. A conductor is there .

@wich1 Жыл бұрын
It's not that bad really, it only happens just before arriving and just after leaving a station. For a train like this with only limited stops it's quiet most of the time. If you're taking trains more often in Japan you just start sort of filtering it out automatically, you only hear it when you actively listen to it.
