I have respect for all drummers but this kind of drumming, incorporating your whole body, is just amazing! The talent these people have is beyond awesome. I love listening and watching Taiko drummers.
Super strong music you have ... I love her, unfortunately it is not easy here dranzukommen to the music. Me it longs total, according to the cultural treasures of Japan. I think my soul was living in Japan!

Utsu Hachijo. Za Ondekoza - Ondekoza Live'95 under the direction of Den Tagaysu. Tateishi Ringtaro & Kelvin Underwood on okedo sets; Inoue Kohei on shinobue; solos Takakubo Yasuko, Nakashima Akio, Inoue Ryohei; shime daiko from stage left Marco Lienhard - Yamamoto Shigeru -Yamaguchi Akira. I'm on atarigane (the "bowl") and I do actually get to solo on the miya-daiko in miyake but this video cuts off before I play. Unseen but playing large okedo are Iwata Taro, Yokoyama Yoko & Kiuchi Shinako.

Oh yeah, and the video and audio on the master recording are not 100% synched up owing to how and why the video was digitally re-mastered as it was being produced. We played the full concert 3 times that day. One full dress rehearsal, one recording, and one live concert (during a 2-week run of concerts). Video from the live performance and the afternoon session were used (for close-up shots, etc.). Many sections of the piece are freely improvised and there were other technical difficulties.

@GunsmythFrog agreed! although i'd say it's as much "getting vibrated/thundered upon by" as "hearing"

The song they're playing is called ""Miyake" (especially the part after 5:30 or so with the woman playing sideways). It's the most famous traditional taiko song in Japan. You hear it everywhere.

The song is called Utsu Hachijo and is based on two traditional styles (rhythms from Iwami Kagura/Jingi Daiko & Miyake) mixed with modern improvisation sections. The theme of the song is supposed to tell a story about a samurai named Ukita Hideie who was banished to the island of Hachijo as a political prisoner. The flute used in this piece is shinobue. The bokuto used as bachi in this piece were partly used for dramatic effect and are not commonly used by many taiko groups or players.

I don't know the name of the song (it starts like Miyake, but it's a different one). The group name is Ondekoza. If you want to view the rest of the song copy and paste this term in search box 打つ八丈(鬼太鼓座), youtube doesn't allow to put the link here...
