I feel a peace listening to this song. I really appreciate the culture of Okinawa (Uchina). I'm a fan of Natsukawa Rimi who is the singer who is singing this song. I also really like the songs: Nada sou sou, Hana, Shima uta, Shimanchu nu takara and others. My dream is to visit Okinawa, visit the beautiful beaches of Ishigaki and Miyakojima. Greetings from Brazil!!!

Feels like home for me too since a very very young age. But Japanese are not Okinawan and they frequently are treated differently. Especially if you’re Ainu. Japanese began with the Yayoi period. Before Japan Okinawa and Hokkaido used to be part of the many that were of the Jōman tribes. Jōman were one of three or 6 groups on that island that were the more original peoples. Okinawa is a remnant. Which is why it has a totally different energy. Very healing! ❤️❤️❤️

Even if it is called to be Japanese, this is a dialect of Okinawa, and most people who do not live in Okinawa can not understand the meaning by listening. It's already another language. It may be more correct to say Okinawan.
