Can u explain how filtration system koi pond in japan koi farm? Tx
@Aboutkoi2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. In these big mud ponds it is just natural filtering. In their indoor ponds mostly with chambers filters, Japanse Mats and oyster shells to keep safe pH levels

what happens to the kois that are not selected?? can they be sold in cheap price??
@Aboutkoi2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that does happen. It depends on the breeder though. Some Breeders discard their unselected Koi and others keep them to sell later during the year for a cheap price

what happen to the culls?
@Aboutkoi2 жыл бұрын
That depends on the breeder. Many breeders do discard the Koi during the first selection that are not selected. But there are some, that keep them apart and grow them a little bit larger. To sell them later as cheaper Koi. After second/third selection of course more of these Koi are kept to sell them as lower class Koi
