The Saijo Festival, a traditional autumn event in Saijo City, featured a ``kawairi'' festival in which danjiri floats were paraded through the river. This ``river entry'' is an event that involves surrounding the mikoshi carrying the god with danjiri to delay its return to the shrine, marking the end of the festival.
