Japanese Maples at 'Pflanzen-Kölle' garden center in Hamburg, May 6 '23

As I was a little bit surprised about the many different japanese maples in the garden center ('Pflanzen-Kölle' in Hamburg Volksdorf, Germany) I decided to film a quick video there.
But I did not buy a new tree... for now. ;)

Big video!!! So you have been in other nursery than normally we know, very helpful to know other varieties and their prices. Maybe in the future I will make a order from there as I’ve had from Hackmann thanks of your videos. Nice job!

Well, it is just a big garden center where you can buy almost everything. www.pflanzen-koelle.de I think the maples they offer do not have the same high quality but it does not mean they are too bad. Unfortunately on the website they write that they only ship to Germany. But if you are looking for another very good nursery for JMs, check out this one if you don't know them already... baumschule-nielsen.de/produktkategorie/ahorn/japanische-ahorne/ Maybe I will go there next saturday! :)

You are welcome! As I do not have other expensive hobbies and as I love to see the beautiful maple spring colors myself, it is worth it at least one or two times per year. 😊

Can you recommend any "Baumschulen" Near Hamburg, that has dwarf conifers and maples? I know Hachmann already, but can you recommend others? :)

The only other big/good nursery for JMs I know is Baumschule Nielsen in Soltau: baumschule-nielsen.de/ They also offer conifers. But it is about 80Km south of Hamburg. Maybe I will visit them myself again next saturday.
