The subtitle at 13:21 doesn't make sense: "What is it studying?" However, judging by the answer ("I'm studying math."), it seems like the question was probably, "What are you studying?"
@Hamusuke-japanese Жыл бұрын
Thank you for pointing this out. The translation was strange because I wanted to emphasize the "it" in Japanese. In this case, you are right, "What are you studying?" is appropriate, so I changed the subtitle. Your points are very helpful. Please let me know if you notice anything else. Thanks.☺

What's the difference between 日本語の勉強をしてます and 日本語を勉強してます
@Hamusuke-japanese Жыл бұрын
In "日本語の勉強をしてます" the act of "studying" itself is emphasized a bit. This may have the nuance that you are studying Japanese grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and other aspects of the Japanese language from multiple angles. In "日本語を勉強してます" there is no particular emphasis, simply stating the fact that you are studying Japanese. However, this is a very minute difference and is rarely clearly distinguished in everyday conversation. Both expressions convey the main point: "I am learning Japanese. 🥺
