The tu and du pronunciation in Filipino and Japanese English accents comes from British English (KZbin, durable, etc is pronounced with ch and j in British English). American English however pronounce it as d and t throughout :)

For me, I find it cute when Japanese people pronounce English words, as well as Koreans. Few of my favorites are heartbeat (ハートビート), group (グループ), and milk tea (ミルクティー). But I also like our accent 😄😄 It just really depends on your preference
